Nepal is a least developed country, surrounded by various problems like poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, increasing number of AIDS, lack of social security and so on. In this context ' People's Welfare Service Committee (PWSC) ' was established in 1990 with purpose to work in favor of helpless. 'PWSC' is a joint effort conceived by professionals of different fields. The main purpose of 'PWSC' is to serve to the different forms of helpless including street-children, disabled people, victims of wars and the elderly.

In further days the society will be successful in its purpose if needed assistance is received. Basically secured and competent society is our motto. We undertake necessary activities for the establishment of prosperous society.

Basically, in such a least developed country like Nepal, orphans, street-children (rag pickers- "Chantey"), disabled people, child victims of war, the elderly and people suffered from various problems are living in difficult situations. So, the main priority of society is to work for their settled future. |

To work for the benefit of helpless like street children, orphans, disabled, war victims, victims of disaster, the elderly who are living in difficult situations. |

To conduct action research and to collect data about the helpless. |

To retaliate any forms of exploitation. |

To work for settled future of the helpless and to establish children reform home (children welfare center). |

To work as guardians and forwarding the needed legal procedures for it. |

To provide optimum aid service to the incapacitated, poor, needy, oppressed and aggrieved people. |

To manage education (formal informal) for the helpless. |

To inform and make aware government, NGOs and INGOs about the real condition and situations of the helpless. |

Street children: Living under open sky, drug abuse and smoking is common between them, unstable mind and attitude, individualistic about their past. The number of street children is rising up. |

War-Victims children: Replaced from village due to insurgency. They have lost their parents and kinds. They are loosing their way in lack of proper guardianship. |

Unidentified children: Illegal sexual relationship, rape, pre-marital/matured sexual relationship, divorce, death of parents, victims circle of poverty are the main causes of such problems. |

Disabled and the elderly:
Child labor, disaster, landmines and lack of awareness about disease like Polio are the main reasons.
Physically and mentally weak for survival lack of care-take due to poverty, banishment from their home
All the helpless are neglected and despised by the main stream of society. |

Activites of this organization

Basically, all the activities of 'PWSC' are based on field visit not aim-chair. So, ' PWSC ' is conducting various awareness programs in affected areas. |

'PWSC' has been providing needed consults and financial aid and visiting different hermitages of the elderly. |
3. |
'PWSC' has been providing financial aid for food, shelter, cloths, health, education, social security and reinstitution and needed legal aid. |
4. |
'PWSC' has been organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences, talk programs on the current issues about helplessness. Since it's establishment. |

What can we do? |
- We need food, clothes and shelter including daily requirements for the helpless. |
- We need stationary goods like books, pens, boards, chalks, pencils, papers, staplers and so on. |
- We need sport goods and entertainment instruments. |
- We need financial aid to mobilize the community for the benefit of helpless. |
