PARAGLIDING IN NEPAL

White Paragliding in Nepal is a quite new adventurous activity in Nepal, but the paragliding is a truly fantastic and pleasing that any adventure lover can feel or experience. You can experience the extreme scenic dignity, as your share airspace flies near the Himalayan as a griffin vultures, eagles, kites, floating over the villages, monasteries, temples, lakes, and jungles, with a fantastic view of the magnificent Himalayas.

For gliding we have to depend upon weather condition as it is weather dependent sport. The flying season in Nepal commences from November to February. But the best months is between November and December. The gliding is offered in Mahabharat range however, the more is done in Pokhara, the beautiful lakeside town at the bottom of the Annapurna Himal.

The starting point for the flight is Sarangkot (1592m), which offers great views of Fewa Lake, where the sunrise and sunset rays land in. If you wan to have paragliding, you do not need to have experience, as the qualified pilots will provide you full briefing before you launch. TREKKING PERMITS
1.A trekking permit is not require to trek in the Everest Region, Annapurna Region and Langtang Region however you need to have National park/conservation area permit.

3. A trekking permit is required to trek in restricted areas listed below. The following restricted areas are opened for trekkers to trek.

The Restricted area and Trekking permit Fees:
Areas of lower Dolpa : 10USD per person per week for the first 4weeks and 20USD per person per week after 4 weeks.
10USD per person per week for the first 4 weeks and 20USD per person per week after 4 weeks for the following restricted areas:
  • Taplejung District (Kanchenjanga Region): Areas of Olangchunggola, Lelep, Papung and Yamphudin Village
  • Sankhuwasabha District (Makalu Region): Areas of Kimathanka, Chepuwa, Hatiya and Pawakhola Village.
  • Solukhumbu District (Everest Region): All north-west area way from Thame to Nangpala of Namche Village.
  • Upper Mustang and Upper Dolpa District: 500USD per person for first 10 days and 50USD per day per person after 10 days.
    Thuman and Tingure of Rasuwa District: 10 USD per person per week.
    Manang District: Areas of Nar, Phu, and Northern area of Tilche Village of Thochhe Village: 90USD per person per week for September to November and 75USD per person per week for December to August.
    Mugu District: Areas of Mugu, Dolpu, Pulu and Bhangri: 90USD per person for first 7 days and 15USD per person per day after 7 days.
    Bajhang District:Areas of Kanda, Saipal, Dhuli. For the first 7 days per person US $90 and After 7 days per day per person US$15.
    Darchula District:Areas of Byas Village Development Committee: 90USD per person for first 7 days and15USD per person per day after 7 days.
    Gorkha District (Manaslu Area): 70USD per person per week and 10USD per person per day for each addtional day after one week For September to November and 50USD per person per week and 7USD per person per day for each addtional day for December to August.
    Humla District (Simikot and Yari): Areas of Limi and Muchu village Development Committee, and area way to Tibet via Tangekhola of Darma Village: 50USD for the first 7 days per person and 7USD per person per day after 7 days.

    A trekking permit will not be issued to individual trekkers for these areas and you have to go through from registered trekking company and it is required to be at least two people in the group. Contact us for group trekking permit.

    By opening up new routes for trekking we hope to bring tourism into the far reaches and little known parts of Nepal, creating income for the local people and new and interesting places to trek for tourists and travellers.
