The Lepchas are said to be Sikkim's earliest original inhabitants.
Lepchas call themselves 'Rongtub' or 'Mutanchi' meaning 'dearest
people of mother earth'. The Lepchas together with the Bhutias
and Nepalese each adding their unique colour to Sikkimese
culture live in Good Harmony.
