This trekking route is largely unknown amongst trekkers in Sikkim as it is even amongst the locals used rarely. This trek is for all those who are looking for the extraordinary and who feel comfortable in remote wilderness. A wealth of plants with an abundance of exotic flowers, mighty rhododendron-trees and great variety of animals thrive in this area, making this trek an unforgettable nature-adventure.
Even Yeti, the legendary Himalayan ape still roams this area. In fall 2000 we came across huge apelike tracks in the snow when passing a pass. The locals identified the tracks as those of Yeti... In order to make sure that this area remains mostly untouched by humans we have limited the number of participants to 8. The 7-days trek required perfect health as well as good condition and readiness to given up comforts for the time of trekking. We sleep in simple Yak-sheds and twin-tents. An experienced trekking-team will accompany us and also carry our baggage. The trek is rounded up by an 8-day cultural tour whereby we visit Sikkim's most beautiful monasteries. The places Pemayangtse, Yoksum, Tashiding and Rumtek show us a life full of a variety of old and cultural traditions.

03	Gangtok- Pemayangtse-Pelling. Pemayangtse monastery; ruins of Rabdentse; Overnight in Hotel.
04	Pelling-Uttarey, 2320m -Chiterey, 2700m Drive to Uttarey in 2 hours and trek to Chitrey in 3 hours. Overnight in camp.
05	Chiterey-Chewabhangjang, 3275m-Mejar Thang 3364m 9 km in 5 hrs. Overnight in camp.
06	Mejar Thang-Dhund 3710m 12 km in 6 hrs. View Everest and Kanchenjunga. Overnight in camp.
07	Dhund-Phare Megu, 4200m 12 km in 5 hrs.
08	Phare Megu-Duila-OmLa 4572m-Gamothang Yak hut 3675 19 km 8 hrs. Overnight in tent.
09	Gamothan, 3675m-Laxmi Pokhri Lake, 4040m, Gamathang-Yangshep,4136 9 km in 6 hrs. Overnight in camp.
10	Yangshep 4136-Tegyhapla River 3666 14 km in 6 hrs. Overnight in camp.
11	Tegyapla 3366-Dzongri 4320 9 km in 4 hrs. Overnight in camp.
12	Dzongri-Onglathang 4060m 11 km in 6 hrs. Overnight in camp.
13	Onglathang Rest day to explore yak camp and prepare for Goechela trek.
